Welcome to the website for Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, Illinois.

We, the members of Calvary Baptist, invite you to browse our website. Also, please accept an invitation for you and your family to come worship with us at Calvary. Our focus in worship is to give praise to Jesus and glorify God. In worship we use a blended style with traditional hymns as well as praise choruses. Special music by our gifted church family members includes a nice blend of Southern Gospel and Christian Contemporary. Our intent in worship is to be both inspirational and a source of encouragement.

Our mission statement “Reaching People, Transforming Lives” expresses our heart. We feel Calvary is in Hillsboro for two reasons. One is to “reach people” for the Kingdom of God. The other is to be a helpmate and “transform” the hurting person to wholeness in God.

We have a zeal for missions. More than fifteen percent of our regular offering goes to support missions. At Easter we have a mission offering called “Annie Armstrong” for missionary work in America. In the month of September we have a special offering for mission work in the State of Illinois. The month of December is our focus on international missions with a “Lottie Moon” offering.

As we give financially to missions we are contributing to the support of more than 10,000 missionaries around the world.

We are affiliated with Macoupin Baptist Association of Churches; the Illinois Baptist State Association of Churches and the Southern Baptist Convention.
